What defines normal behaviour for kids?
Wait,
What is NORMAL anyway?
I stumbled upon this article about “disruptive mood dysregulation disorder,” or DMDD.
If DSM-5 is officially published (it’s due in 2013), kids will be deemed DMDD if they show "severe recurrent temper outbursts that are grossly out of proportion in intensity or duration to the situation.” … at least three times a week.I don't know what is normal for a kid, I don't have one,
but I grew up as a kid, and so do you.
So, I think temper outbursts is indeed usual - especially for spoilt kids.
Perhaps this is another conspiracy of getting the new generation to be obedient to rules and laws without any deep questioning or rethinking.
Individualism will soon die if we see these kids as problematic.
